Besteht für Nachkommen eines genetisch vorbelasteten Paares das hohe Risiko, an der klassischen Form der Myotonen Dystrophie Typ 1 zu erkranken, kann im Einzelfall die Durchführung einer Präimplantationsdiagnostik (PID) erlaubt sein. Das entschied das BVerwG (Az. 3 C 12.19).
